Delayed expressive: Language (verbalizing thoughts) can occur alone or with delays in receptive language (comprehension) & other areas of development. Use developmental screening tests & the m-chat (for autism) on firstsigns.Org. Take the results & your son to his pediatrician for referral for therapy. If in the usa, call your state health division's early intervention program for free assessment & therapy.
