What is (mch) mean corpuscular hemoglobin on your cbc test?

Hemoglobin/rbc count: Mean corpuscular hemoglobin or mean cell hemoglobin. It is roughly a measurement of the average hemoglobin content of each red blood cell (rbc) and is obtained by dividing the total hemoglobin by the number of rbc's. The value comes out as picograms/cell and is usually in the range of 27 -31. Hemoglobin is the oxygen carrying molecule in the blood. Mch is useful for classifying types of anemia.
