Tendonitis refers to: inflammation within a tendon. There are numerous causes of this. It can affect any tendon. That is any tendon can develop tendonitis, and not just in your arm. Some tendon issues called tendonitis, are misnomers, as they are not inflammatory, but degenerative in nature -- and in fact are tendinosis. Common tendinosis in the arm include: tennis elbow, golfers elbow, rotator cuff tendinosis.
