Tedonitis: Most common cause based on your description would be extensor carpi ulnaris tendonitis. Could also be a mild collateral ligament sprain. Use a splint to rest the wrist, ice it, elevate as much as possible and take anti-inflamatories. If not improved in 5-10 days see hand surgeon or pcp.

Prob tendonitis: Probable tendonitis, but check for epicondylitis (tennis/golfer's elbow).
