LVIDD: You say you've had a cardiac catheterization but don't list a reason why. Your LV appears to be gradually dilating there are many possible causes for this if it is true. You should discuss this with the Dr. taking care of you and ordering all those echos.

The IVS and PLVW: The IVS (interventricular septum) and PLVW (posterior LEFT VENTRICULAR wall) thickness. The major determinants of LV wall thickness are blood pressure and valve status. Similarly, these are the major determinants of LV cavity size. The goal of halting LV cavity enlargement and wall thickening is to keep the BP in the low-normal range.
