EoE: The hallmark is infiltrate of eosinophils in the wall of the esophagus leading to symptoms of reflux and at times stricture due to repeated eosinophilic inflammation. Many if not all of the cases are thought to be related to a food reaction and eliminating a few major foods have been helpful for many. Others will likely need to swallow a topical cortisone to reduce the inflammation. Much to learn
