Two week duration is not enough for the treatment of reflux esophagitis. You should resume this medication for a total 2 months then you can stop but you need to practice antireflux measures (google it) and avoiding foods and drinks which exacerbate the symptoms in the meantime. If symptoms recurs again after 2 months of med + antirflux + diet, you can try famotidine OTC as a maintenance therapy.
