My grandfather 94yrs old having prostate cancer and also has metastasis in pancrease (pancrelipase) and bones. treatment options?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No treatment: In spite of your grandfathers clinical condition, the pattern of behavior of prostate cancer after 80 , for the most part typified by an indolent form of metastasis. One uses drugs like Lupron (leuprolide) to reduce hormones but at his age there are probably little or no hormones secreted. Chemo such as Taxol not utilized. Therefore he should live normal expected time for a 90yo without further intervention
