A member asked:

Recuperating from pancreatic cancer and was advised to change from pan crease to pancrelipase. is that favorable treatment?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Recuperating means treatment other than chemo. If Whipple performed the duct of the pancreas was implanted into the bowel to allow enzymes to pass into the GI tract. The amt of enzyme for digestion is usually low and one needs both the proteins and fat digested with the add of bile from the liver/GB. The pancrelipase provides that function.
