Of what?: Infarct of brain-stroke. Infarct if heart - heart attack. Infarct of leg- gangrene. BUT of the heart- there are several causes in young people:congenital heart defect- coronary anomalies, spasm, or coronary obstruction. Even soldiers at young age at death have had coronary plaques. Drug abuse of street or prescription drugs. And rarely Prinzmetal spasm.

Abnormal arteries: Obviously blood not getting to part of the heart is the cause of a heart attack. While hardening of the arteries is one of the main causes, the known risk factors for that do not account for all of the occurance of heart attack. Likely different shapes of vessels contributes AND in heart attack in the young people I've seen (two) the vessels in that part of the heart developed wrong.

Could be tricky: Infarction happens when some area of heart muscle is dead from lack of blood supply d/t shut down of blood vessel (artery) to that area. Commonly happens when artery gets clogged/blocked Infarction can also happen when no block is found. This happens from temporary squeezing/ spasm of artery that shuts off the blood flow. No cause. Angiogram is normal because the spasm is over by the time of test.
