A member asked:

Can florinef (fludrocortisone) have bad long term side effects?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Florinef (fludrocortisone) is the synthetic equivalent of your salt retainig hormone used to control salt waisting caused by adrenal insufficiency. We use it to treat salt waisting adrenal hyperplasia which is a congenital disorder, so patients are on it for life, and no longterm consequences have been found.
