My 63 years old father was prescribed 0.1 mg florinef (fludrocortisone) daily for hypotension. He took it for 4 months and reduced the dose to half (0.05 mg) 3 weeks ago. Should he stop taking it without tapering as his bp is around 143/68 at night?
On florinef (fludrocortisone) .1mg potassium is now 3.2, doctor given me 24meq per day, 940mg. Is this going to stop it going lower? Scary don't want heart arythmia
