Depends: Some EB tests are straightforward screening tests for IGG, which could be recent or old.An EB test for IGM would be more specific for newer infection.

EBV: It depends on the testing method. If IGM is positive this is a new infection. If IGG is positive this is a prior infection and depending on the titers may be causing fatigue or can be a chronic infection. If early antigen is positive in many cases this is a reactivation or another exposure. Have your doctor review these results with you and ask them to explain the testing.
