Nasal or chest?: Nasal congestion in infants is common and dramatic. Their noses are very small and easily obstructed. Although it in and of itself is not dangerous, the infection causing it could be. Chest congestion on the other hand, is quite concerning in infants. In either case, prompt evaluation by a healthcare provider is warranted.

Let's see: Is the congestion nasal or in the chest? If nasal, can use saline nasal drops. If there is persistent cough, and certainly if there is fever and/or drop in feedings, then you see the Pediatrician immediately. Hope that helps.
