Supportive care.....: There are no medications that can be safely given to a 4 month old. Saline nose drops, with gentle bulb suction to remove mucus, a humidifier or vaporizer to keep mucus loose, elevation of your child's head in the crib and a cool/comfortable room temperature will help him feel more comfortable. If her develops a fever, is very cranky, refuses to eat or is breathing fast he should be seen by his md.
