Hi doctors i had a really bad congestion close to a month but last night my congested went to my throat and my throat is very painful it hurts to swallow and ny head and body are aching a lot also sometimes i feel like throwing up. what is going on?

Dr. can check throat: New throat pain can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed), a cold, influenza, or "mono" (antibiotics usually not used), or from some other cause such as allergies or irritants. Usually, a person sees the doctor if the sore throat is very bothersome, recurrent, or doesn't go away quickly (mainly to check for strep throat or other treatable causes).
