You may be thinking: of "sleep deprivation" therapy for depression; otherwise I am not sure why you would fear that sleeping 10 hrs would make your anxiety and depression worse if you feel "at your best" when you sleep 10 hours. I suggest trying 10 hrs each night for a while and go by how that makes you feel. How YOU feel is the best way to judge!

7-9 hours best: It would be best to have a regular bedtime and regular time to wake up. There is a short term antidepressant effect to sleep deprivation, but long-term sleep deprivation becomes harmful. Perhaps try sleeping 9 hours a night and getting up when you usually would for a job or school. If you feel refreshed after 10 hours and not sleepy during the day, you may need that much temporarily.
