Why does sleeping 7-8 hours / night but during opposite cycle (4am-11am) have negative effects on health? (i.e. anxiety, malaise, depression, etc).

Delayed phase Sleep: Disorder. This often worsens depression, but I am not convinced that we know exactly why, other than that there is a misalignment between biological nighttime and your sleep time which causes major hormonal systems to be out of synch.
