Trazodone isn't used: much for depression nowadays because there are many others that work better. Trazodone is usually rx'ed as a sleep aid, but it comes on slowly, and leaves slowly, so most have a hangover the next day. Consult your prescribing MD for a better antidepressant and/or sleeper. Xanax (alprazolam) is OK for anxiety but watch the addictive potential, even at low doses if use is prolonged.
