No simple answer.: There is no easy answer to this question. The amount you burn will depend on your weight, your percent of body fat, the weight you lift, how many reps you do how much rest between sets and other factors. It is not a question of how much weight you lift but has more to do with how many reps and how quickly you do them, that is why interval training burns more calories.
