Low weights/high reps, high weights/low reps- which will burn more calories?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Low/high: Generally low weights and high reps will give you more of an "aerobic" workout and will be more effective for weight loss. To get an aerobic workout, you want to get your heart rate up to 70-85% of the predicted maximum for your age for a period of at lease 25-30 minutes. Consult with your doctor to make sure it is safe for you to exercise.
