Is it normal to a low positive ana (1:80 speckled) go negative? or is it probably an lab error?

Likely.: Given the low titer to begin with, it was likely a false positive. Mildly positive ANA's can also be seen in non-rheumatologic conditions such as Hashimoto's thyroiditis.
