Not a great deal.: Positive anas can be "false" positive. On the other hand an rnp antibody is not false. This combination would indicate mixed connective tissue disease. That having been said, I have many patients with a low titer rnp positivity and no signs of disease. Mctd is rarely a disease with major serious issues as other dx.
