F/46:uti took macrobid.saw urologist,ct scan w/ & w/o contrast,cystoscopy,retested urine,still have blood and wbc. how can this be since views normal?

More info needed: Blood in the urine is not normal and needs to be explained. UTI is one of many possible causes, and if a urine culture shows no infection, we look for other causes. A CT negative for stones and normal cystoscopy do not eliminate the possibility that the problem may be originating in the kidney. Your urologist can help sort this out.

Had a painfull uti, started having blood with clots in my urine during uti. After taking abtibiotics all symptoms disapeared. Axial ct scan without contrast was clear. Is cytoscopy needed? Age is 30.

I had one worm-shaped blood clot in my urine 2 weeks ago. My urologist wants to perform a cystoscopy and abdom/pelvic CT to rule out cancer. However, Ive had numerous CTs over the years incl. one just 8 months ago. Can MRI and/or US be substituted?
