Gum surgery: Dental Grafting has come great strides in the last 20 years. Call your surgeon, and ask him to take a look. Sometimes the graft falls off. No big deal .Just redo it, if it did. It also may be a piece that would fall off anyway.... not the graft. Just call and have your Doc take a look.

May I Suggest that: you discuss this with the excellent periodontist that is currently treating you. We would only be second guessing what has happened and what should be done, if anything at this point. I'm confident that you are in excellent hands and that your periodontist can determine what the next best course of treatment is.
