It is common for mental disorders to co-exist, as there is often overlap between diagnostic criteria for the different illnesses. In addition, anxiety is a common feature of many mental disorders, and can manifest in many different ways. A mental health professional is essential for the proper diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders.
