Not uncommon: One of the symptoms of ptsd is involuntary, intrusive thoughts. Many survivors of trauma have this experience. While intrusive thoughts are a common response to trauma they can be extremely difficult to live with. Please seek a psychologist who is experienced in the treatment of trauma. They could help you process your trauma and give you tools to help with your symptoms. Emdr could help too.

INTRUSIVE THOUGHTS: It is hard to reveal sexual thoughts to your Dr. for help with PTSD & Anxiety - consult with a Clinical Psychologist for psychotherapy to help you with ZOOM sessions, a Psychiatrist for medication & a PCP for a physical exam to rule out illness. Your fears and anxiety could be heightened because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Stay safe, cautious & hold on to hopefulness to elevate your immune system.
