Lose weight: While 10, 000 steps is a lot, walking doesn't really help you lose much weight. It doesn't get your heart rate up high enough. You need to do real cardiovascular exercise. Get on an elliptical machine, treadmill, or stationary bike and get your heart rate up to target and keep it there for 30 minutes everyday (my target hr is 144). That will burn major calories and make you lose weight.
