When keeping track of calories through an app..when it says consumed -burned-&net for cals i know what consumed and burned means but what dose net?

The difference: I believe the app is wanting to teach you that to lose weight you have to burn MORE calories than you consume. So if you have your total of burned calories, you subtract your consumed calories from that to get your net, or difference between the two. You have to have 3,500 MORE burned calories than consumed calories to lose a pound. Best wishes:)
