Get checked: While l side varicoceles are quite common, r sided lesions are unusual. Especially if you are having pain, get checked to rule out any process causing venous outflow obstruction. Start with an examination by your primary doctor and go from there.

Varicocele : Varicoceles are dilated veins around the testes thought to occur as a result of poorly functioning valves within the gonadal veins. The pathophysiology is, in fact, very similar to varicose veins in the legs. Left-sided varicoceles are much more common than right-sided ones. They can be treated by open surgical methods or image-guided methods.

Get treated: A varicocele is a mass in the scrotum caused by defective valves in the testicular veins, which cause blood to pool, and the veins to expand. The pooling blood raises testicular temperature and affects testosterone and sperm production, which can affect fertility. Men can still have babies w/ this, but the odds are lower. Tx safely w/ varicocelectomy, ligation, or embolization.
