I had a breast u/s performed. the report described it as a 12x5x9mm hypoechoic lesion with vascular flow present. does this sound benign?

Indeterminate Lesion: The findings cannot be characterized as probably benign based on the report. The nodule is in the indeterminate category which means further evaluation (like a biopsy) may well be required. Most such biopsies will turn out negative but it is important to identify the ones that aren't to catch things early. Good luck.

How accurate is a breast US on a palpable breast lump. My report says birads 2, but I still feel worried. I saw a surgeon who read over the report and said its benign. My us said 3mm hypoechoic area. No mass. To me lump feels larger than 3mm?
