I had a colonoscopy 7 days ago and still have minor gas pains . not severe just annoying.is it normal.i also have ibs?

Not unheard of.: Although it is not usual to have persistent pain after a colonoscopy, it is not unusual to have some discomfort for one to weeks afterwards. As long as the pain is mild and is improving, i would not worry about it. If it persists longer than two weeks or worsens abruptly, then i would contact your gastroenterologist immediately. Have severe intestinal pain for 2 years now. Had mre of small bowel and colonoscopy w/biopsies, stool samples. All normal. Doc says ibs. Could this be crohns? I eat bland and still have pain.
