A member asked:

Chances of tonsil cancer in a 27 year old that has autoimmune disease; who is a non smoker? ent and primary has seen my unilateral tonsils, no concern

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I would not worry: If your ENT is not worried, you should not worry. Doctors are like the workman who only has a hammer and to whom everything looks like a nail. If that workman tells you that you don't have a nail, you can be darned sure you don't have a nail. Your ENT takes out tonsils. If he tells you your tonsils don't need taking out, they don't need taking out.
