Left tonsil swollen - noticed about a year ago (still swollen)- saw ent and primary neither concerned. cbc is normal. when sick it gets much bigger than the other, cancer? i am a non tobacco user. 27

Less likely it's CA: Cancer is uncommon among young people, non smokers and cancer grows and doesn't subside. Get reassurance from ur ent. http://www.medicinenet.com/script/main/mobileart.asp?articlekey=261.

F/u: Chronic tonsillitis can happen and it could leave you with a slightly bigger tonsil even when there is no infection-even bigger when infected. However, if you start seeing your tonsil becomes irregular and bigger- and it does not go back to the " baseline" size or continues to get bigger despite the lack of infection- you should f/u with ENT and a biopsy perhaps should be considered as indicated.
