Cyst: If the teeth are vital, you should not get root canals. Instead the cyst should be removed as soon as possible.

Cyst or infection ?: A cyst is not an infection. Antibiotics do not resolve cysts. If it is really a cyst, it should be removed. If it is periapical pathology, then you will need root canal therapy on the affected teeth.

Second opinions: I would see a dentist and/or root canal specialist to definitely determine the alternatives. If in doubt, get more than one opinion.

Solution: You should confer with the best oral surgeon in your area to discuss removal of the cyst. You should also confer with the best endodontist in your area to discuss the need for root canal therapy on both teeth both before treatment is begun as well as after the cyst is removed. All three of you should be on the same page as to what is done, the order of treatment, and why.
