Dangerous, no: But why subject yourself and that tooth to procedures that may not be necessary? Invisalign is a great way to straighten teeth without braces. Your dentist or a local orthodontist could enlighten you further and let you know if the treatment would work in your situation.

A lot of ?'s: You are young and straightening your teeth may take a couple of years, and it will be worth it. You will have an attractive smile for the rest of your life. I generally advise patients against crowning teeth to restore crowding if they are otherwise healthy teeth. If of crowning teeth to straighten the appearance requires root treating a tooth, i would strongly suggest orthodontics.
