See your dentist: Have an examination to check for an infection, an injury, or periodontal (gum) disease, and get treatment if necessary. If you have an infection, the pain will reoccur. If you are clenching (bruxism--chronic grinding and/or clenching the teeth), your dentist can diagnose this and suggest an appropriate treatment.
