Sorry to hear: At this point just take pain medication that you can tolerate. Keep the area clean and rinse the area with warm salt water. First thing monday call your dentist. Good luck and be well.

Take amoxicillin 500: Your pain is most likely due to an infection in the tooth and jaw bone. If you can get Amoxicillin over the counter(take 500mg 3 times per day for 7 days it should greatly ease the pain until you can see a dentist on monday. The other option is to go to the hospital emergency room. You could also try clove oil in and around the tooth. It is a natural pain reliever.

Some suggestions: Today is still friday. Call around and see if you can find a dentist whom you can at least speak to, and hopefully will fit you in on an emergency basis. Ask your friends, neighbors, co-workers or other health care providers whom they would recommend. Other than that, take some otc pain medication such as advil\motrin, rinse with warm salt water, and avoid eating on that side especially cold\hot.

Neglect: I'm sure this didn't just go from no symptoms to acute symptoms. Sounds like a problem that should have been treated a long time ago. Until you can get in for an emergency dental appointment, ice and analgesics (advil/motrin/ibuprofen best, but do not exceed dosage on the package). Once your acute problem is resolved, have a complete examination and resolve all the small issues.
