Not tested: Vit d is taken orally as either d2 or d3. When we are exposed to adequate sun our bodies produce d3. The term vit d refers to all the forms of vit d. In our bodies. Our liver ; kidneys convert d2 ; d3 to 25-hyroxyvitamin d (the storage form) ; 1, 25 dihydoxyvitamin d, the active form. There are tests to measure those levels but not to measure d2 ; d3.
