A member asked:

In mild stage open angle glaucoma in 1 eye is it safe to have lasik surgery. is there a risk it will permanently raise eye pressure & treatment change?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Should be OK: You however need to discuss this with the ophthalmologist that will do the lasik. There are certain parameters that need to be measured to see if you are a candidate. Also, lasik thins the cornea making the eye pressure measurements less reliable.
