InterStim : Interstim implantation has no role in treating or preventing urinary tract infections? It is used for urinary urgency of neurological origin (and sometimes urinary retention). It is imperative that all of your "utis" be assessed with a culture and sensitivity before treatment to be certain that the symptoms are truly due to bacterial infection.

What is question?: Obviously long standing problem ; have obviously or should have consulted with expert uologist or uro-gynecologist/s in interstitial cystitis, pelvic pain ; recurrent/persistent utis. Interstim device is seldom used for these problems ; is more of a 'last ditch' procedure. Should have had urodynamics. Avoid cystectomy at all costs, would not relieve your problem.
