Yes: Psychological symptoms do not have to accompany fibromyalgia, but the often do.

Yes: 25 yo female w. fibromyalgia (FM) queries why she feels "happy/content". My view is that emotional misery of FM relates, in great part, to degree of physical deconditioning, obesity, & sleep disturbance, which begets depression. Those who avoid these issues seem happiest. These observations are clues to FM cause, which is multifactorial. They are also clues to a cure, i.e., lifestyle issues.
