About

Bio

I went into pediatrics because I always enjoyed working with children and their families. I also did work including a master's degree in community health. During that training, I had a great deal of contact with a variety of handicapped children. So I decided to do a fellowship in Child Developmental Disorders. Then, I did about 10 years of private practice in General Pediatrics, so I have a strong background there. I spent time teaching during this period and enjoyed that very much. I took a teaching post at a university for the next 10 years and taught Pediatrics to Family Medicine residents. During this time board exams became available in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics. I decide to take the plunge and I passed the certification process. I then settled into the private practice of Developmental- Behavioral Pediatrics.

Specialties
Doctors may have more than one area of specialty interest. Board certification in a specialty area means the doctor has completed formal training and has practice experience in that specialty, and has passed the certification examination from the corresponding accredited medical specialty board.
