No: Normal individuals do not have tender points or trigger points. Only those with fm.

Fibromyalgia: Specific points on the body that your doc presses on are used to determine if you have fibro or not. If those spots are painful/tender, that is used as information to make the diagnosis. So not everyone has pain on those spots. Peace and good health.

Tenderness varies: Fibromyalgia is characterized by wide spread abnormal pain and tenderness. Individuals that do not have the condition will have little or no tenderness at these spots. Quantifying pain and tenderness is very difficult.
