So so: ? Importance tender points to diagnosis of fibromyalgia (FM). Curious nature of FM: different people get FM via different vectors of injury. This indicates etiology is multifactorial & each sufferer has different symptom constellations. FM tender points are near-universal symptoms in FM sufferers & diagnosticians generally rely on 11/18 positive (pain arousal upon palpation) to confirm diagnosis.
