More info needed....: Age of your daughter? Jaw size discrepancies? Crossbites? Molar relationship? Profile and general appearance? As you can see, more goes into answering your question in regards to treating her malocclusion, not just her open bite. See a local orthodontist who can examine her and treat her for a more definitive answer.

THE ORTHODONTIST: Is the one who corrects malocclusions. First find a qualified and reputable orthodontist... The best one you can find. Then find out how best to treat your daughter. Focus in on 'the fixer' and not the 'method' to get there. On a rough voyage in the ocean, would you rather have the best captain or the best looking boat?

Serious: Normal overbite is about 2mm. Your daughter has a 9mm open bite, meaning a vertical discrepancy of 11mm, almost half an inch. Please take your daughter to see an orthodontic specialist who can determine the cause of your daughter's problem, the presence of any other anatomic or growth problems, and then recommend to you the various treatments that are available. Probably not invisalign

Depends: Depending upon the way your daughter's jaws line up, she may need a combination of orthodontics and oral surgery called orthognathic surgery which will re-align the jaws along with orthodontic treatment which will re-align the teeth. You may need to see specialists (orthodontist and oral surgeon) who have experience working together with these types of dental problems.
