Plantar fascitis: Sound ilke you have a bad case of plantar fascitis- stretching o the feet tendons before you get out of bed in the morning, massage, warm water soaks, injections, ultrasound treatment are all modalities that can be used. Avoid prolonged standing. If all of this does't work, surgery is the last resort- not 100% effective but does work in most cases.

Depending o age: This may be normal, the part not walking with full pressure on foot.  To stretch achilles bend foot up toward leg until they resist and hold for about 10 seconds then repeat.  If the baby has tight achilles later they may need a per cutaneous tendon lengthening.

its regarding my feet, the area where the heal slopes into the rest of mt foot feels bruised and it feels like the tendon pulls tight if i don't walk for a while. getting up in the morning is incredibly uncomfortable.

Foot Pain: You may be suffering from plantar fasciitis.

Plantar fasciitis: It could be plantar fasciitis.  It could also be a tight achilles tendon.  Usually we treat plantar fasciitis with nsaids, ice, good arch support, and stretching.  We also advise not to walk around barefoot.  Best of luck!

: Chronic Achilles tendinitis can develop  into a chronic painful condition if not treated. You need a structured stretching and strengthening program.

i've been in a cast for a rupter achilles tendon repair and i keep getting a pins and needles feeling in my leg and foot... it also keeps swelling, get a tight feeling in the cast. what should i do?

See your Dr: See your Dr who applied the cast ASAP or your orthopedic surgeon. There is a chance that the swelling is causing nerve compression or lowered circulation. They might need to cut the cast off and re cast it. They should also look at why your leg is swelling so much.

Requires examination: orthopedic exam and imaging as well as antiinflammatory therapy, You may have an Achilles tendon cyst which may require excision or aspiration. The calf pain is worrisome and I suggest a venous doppler ( ultrasound) of your left lower leg with comparison to the right leg.

Stop sodas, fast foo: Exercise can be done in a swimming pool if your ankle feels OK. diet is the biggest problem. Stop sodas - they increase the "sweet tooth" including diet sodas. Avoid all deep fried food and greasy food . Fat has more calories than sugar! Eat lean meats without the skin, fresh fruit and fresh vegetables. No butter and no added salt. Salt will increase the BP. Any activity is better than no activity
