why do all vitamins and supplements advise to take w food? so it absorbs or so you won't get sick? i would like 2take my omega and magnesium w/o food!

Marine Fish: Oil may make you burp but ok w/out food.  If burping happens you can store the MFO in fridg and it may not happen.  Magnesium ok w/out food but food helps protect the stomach.  You can try liquid or powder if that is easier for you to metabolize.  Peace and good health.

Nothing: No vitamins will strengthen adult teeth already formed, a good diet will help the gum and bones supporting the teeth. Various topical paste and rinses will help remineralize and strengthen the surface of the teeth.Hope that helps.

had black non smelly (abit iron smelly?) stools, not tar like from what i could tell. had this for 2 days now and getting abit worried. taking magnesium and d-vitamin supplements (no iron). should i be worried

When stool color changes, what tests need to be done depends upon what cause is suspected for the stool color change. For example, gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopy may be required to evaluate red or black stools if bleeding is suspected.

Calcium: Milk is the best idea - 2% or lower - doesn't matter.
There is some vitamin D available over the counter at low cost. Take 100 or 2000 units a day.

Don't worry about magnesium unless a doctor has said your value is low.

Vitamin D3: The only vitamin which appears to have some immune regulatory effect is vitamin D3.  About 70% of the US population are deficient or insufficient .   Most people likely need 2000 u /day as maintenance although the requirement varies greatly.

Yes! : This sounds like a formula well-designed for bone health. Supplements work in symergy. You can't absorb calcium if you are low in vit d. Vit k makes sure the calcium goes to your bones instead of arteries. Boron improves bone density and magnesium and manganese are also important for bone health.

hello, i had vitamin d test 2 months ago , came out as 9 . took supplements its now 19. so i did pth also , turns out its low 12.4 (14 lab range for min ) t3,t4 normal , magnesium , calcium normal ( near max ) should i take anything for pth ?o?

: If your Calcium level is normal, then I would not worry about a low PTH. I suggest that PTH level and calcium levels be rechecked in 6 months. You should also consult a Endocrinologist for further advice.
