Beans and grains: Beans are high in fiber as are grains. Together they make a total protein. One seving of bean and one serving of grain such as black beans and rice. Try to use whole grain rice when possible- since its healthier.

It's junk: You've discovered that there's a huge fantasy literature on "this food is good / bad for this / that disease." people write their subscientific observations and decide that somebody saying there's no effect must be ignorant / unspiritual. The real controlled studies show basically zero diet effect on acne. Good diet & fitness are benenficial for their own sake and general health.

You : You sound like you are really feeling miserable.  Obviously, you already know to drink alot of water. What I am going to suggest won't fix the problem, but may help with healing. If you aren't using probiotics  consider it - kefir, greek yogurt or in the form of supplements.

It's in the math: One must consume fewer calories than he uses or he will not lose weight. Even if he eats apparently small amounts of food, and exercises a lot, the laws of nature do not change... meaning there will not be weight loss until the number of calories taken in to his body is less than the number of calories burned up each day. Math always holds true for normal, healthy people without hormonal problems.

Diet can impact risk: Eating salt in and of itself will not "cause" a heart attack but it certainly can contribute to increasing your risk for heart disease.  Dietary modifications, in general, can significantly reduce your risk of hypertension, diabetes, elevated cholesterol, all of which increase your risk for heart disease and heart attack.

Healthy Diet: Hi Josh. A giant question; I'll narrow it down. I call it "F.A.T".  F - Frequency, A - Amount, and T - Type.  All of these will determine how healthy your diet is.  Frequency - Eating 3 big meals during the day vs. smaller meals throughout the day (better). Amount: Too much or too little.  Type - Poor quality food (e.g, fatty, sugar, and/or "fast food"-type items vs. Yogurt, fruit/nuts, chicken.
