NO!!!!!: Protein supplements generally have been shown not to help anything regarding strength, performance or stamina. They potentially carry serious risk, in terms of heart, kidney or stroke risk. Should ne?Ver be used by kids.

Exercise: You can take a protein powder supplement as a snack or as a meal to augment your plan toward excellent fitness. It is not necessary to increase protein if you have a balanced diet but having a shake once a day, no more than 15 to 20 grams of protein is appropriate. Try rice protein rather than whey to limit dairy. Best wishes.

Nothing: Except for certain rare diseases such as  growth hormone deficiency, your height is pretty much genetically determined (Not much taller than your tallest parent). No amount of protein is going to make you taller.( assuming that you are otherwise well nourished)

Weight gain: Your body mass index (bmi) is low, at 19.1. If you have not been tested for hyperthyroidism (h), go to physician and get a TSH level sent off to see if you have it. If you, you may need treatment for it.  If not, a low bmi is due to malnutrition. Try to eat calorie dense food, such as peanut butter that can add some weight which increasing your bmi. Good luck.

Probably: Whey protein is sold as a muscle building supplement. It is a milk product and has less fat than milk. It should not be harmful, it will be considerably less tasty than a hamburger, fish or chicken which are also good sources of protein.

Why do you?: It may be safe because you are the one eating it; but why do you want to breastfeed a 2yr old? The 2 yr old has matured bowel system that can digest most food and may even be able to eat all of what you are eating.

Carbs and Protein: I suggest taking over 80 g of protein and over hundred grams of complex carbohydrates in three meals and two snacks on a daily basis. Also if you are trying to gain weight muscle building is crucial. If you want to gain weight you want to gain it in a healthy fashion in the right places and exercises   makes you gain muscle weight and not increase your comorbidities for other diseases.

No: Protein powder supplements are an expensive way to add protein to the diet.  Unless you have a specific medical condition, they are unneccesary. Growth stunting occurs with under-nutrition.   The best diet for growth is a balanced diet with an emphasis on fresh fruits, vegetables, lean meats, whole grains.
